Thunder’s Kevin Durant donates $1 million for Tornado relief in Oklahoma

Kevin Durant already attained hero status in Oklahoma City for elevating the Thunder to the ranks of the NBA’s elite, but his latest act is more meaningful than anything he’s done on the court.

The Thunder All-Star is pledging $1 million — through The Durant Family Foundation — for relief after deadly tornadoes tore through the midwest on Monday. The American Red Cross said Durant’s commitment is meant to match other donations and be an incentive for more people to contribute.

Mohammed Ahmed, Illinois Man, Arrested For Soliciting Prostitute While On His Honeymoon

It didn't take long for police to locate a 21-year-old Chicago-area man reported missing by his newlywed wife while honeymooning in the Orlando area last week -- he was already in their custody after he attempted to hire a prostitute who was actually an undercover detective.

Mohammed Ahmed, of the 4400 block of West Estes Avenue in Lincolnwood, Ill., was arrested after he responded to an online ad posted by the Polk County Sheriff's Office and arrived to meet the woman he had attempted to hire, according to police.

Donovan McNabb: No. 5 team's call

Donovan McNabb said Thursday he'd "love" to have his No. 5 retired by the Philadelphia Eagles but said that decision is the team's to make.

"That's really not my call. I would love for that to happen but if they don't I won't be upset about it," he said in a radio interview with 97.5 FM The Fanatic in Philadelphia.

Dear Steve and Shirley My girlfriend and I have been together for three years and recently we have been plummeting down. I've done something's I'm not proud of in our relationship but she has forgiven me and stuck through it all with me. But she recently saw messages between me and a friend of mine. Oklahoma City tornado: Get the latest developments in this disaster

(CNN) -- At least 24 people -- including nine children -- were killed when a massive tornado struck an area outside Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon, officials said.

At least seven of those children were killed at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma, police said. Emergency personnel on Tuesday continued to scour the school's rubble -- a scene of twisted I-beams and crumbled cinder blocks.
