Dear Steve and Shirley, I am 19 years old and currently in my second semester of my freshman year at Texas Southern University. My girlfriend that I have been dating since the beginning of the fall semester, is pregnant and I'm confused about what to do. I want to man up and take care of my responsibility, but I know if I do that, I would have to drop out of school and put my dreams and goals on the back burner. I'm afraid to call home. If I told my mother that I got a girl pregnant, she would be so disappointed. I don't know what to do. I want to do the right thing by my child, but at the same time, I want to stay in school. I need help on what to do about this situation. Help me, Shirley Strawberry.
